DATE CAKE
500 gr. chopped pitted dates Roast all spices together and powder it. Soak dates, in boiling water & baking soda. keep for 2 hours. Add Margerine and slightly roasted rulang together and mix well in a seperate bowl, egg yolks and sugar together mix in a seperate bowl, egg whites to be beaten well seperately. Mix sugar and egg yolks to butter mix first, then the dried fruits & cooled dates. Mix well with a wooden spoon mix the rest of the ingredients put the mix in a well greased baking tin and bake in 160 oven for 45 minutes. < © Malini's Kitchen :: Sri Lanka Recipes |
