Toronto police have arrested a man after two 14-year-old girls alleged to have agreed to work for him were sexually assaulted.

And the Toronto Police are hunting for more alleged sex assault victims after a man was taken into custody.

Investigators want to hear from anyone who might have met 47-year-old Ramalingam Abayaharan.

These reports come on the heels of two very high profile sex assault cases the G.T.A. has been focusing on this week.

Police say the man frequented donut shops in the Kingston Road and Lawrence Ave. East area and approached teenagers with offers of casual employment.

He is alleged to have sexually assaulted the two teenagers on Feb. 2 in the Ellesmere Road and Brimley Road area.

Ramalingam Abayaharan, (47) of Toronto, was arrested Thursday and will be in court to answer two charges of sexual assault and two charges of sexual exploitation.

According to information Ramalingam Abayaharan, he is also another important personality in the World Tamil Movement. He is involved in World Tamil Movement’s (LTTE) real estate and some franchise business in Toronto.

While Abayaharan is one of the leading World Tamil Movement’s (WTM)VIP, last time he collected thousands of dollars in the name of Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) Tsunami relief fund.

World Tamil Movement - Canada, is one of the front organizations of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, the Tamil rebel Abayaharan owns a banquet hall – Atlanta, located in the Ellesmere Road, in Scarborough and also a coffee shop, and all are bought from the money collected for Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO). Earlier we wrote about LTTE’s assets in Canada like New Spiceland.

Just days ago, police announced they’d tracked down a suspect in connection to three attacks on three females, including a little girl, that spanned 14 years.

Canada’s WTM leading member wanted on sexual assault

Abayaharan is facing four counts of sexual assault.

Toronto, 12 February, (Asiantribune.com):.Toronto Police is hunting for one of the leading World Tamil Movement’s VIP, who is said to be on the run, as he is been accused and wanted for investigation in sex assault and battery allegations.

World Tamil Movement - Canada, is one of the front organizations of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, the Tamil rebel outfit based in Sri Lanka, which was involved in bloodied ethnic conflict with the Government of Sri Lanka since 1975 and so far more than 70,000 people had perished.

Police investigators searching for the 47-year-old Ramalingam Abayaharan alias “Abi” one of the leading senior members of the WMT and the investigators are on the look out as they want to hear from anyone who might have met 'Abi.'

Abayaharan is said to be on the run, avoiding arrest and suspected that he might be armed with dangerous lethal weapon.

In 1979, it was alleged that he was involved in stabbing and seriously injuring one Marasinghe, an undergraduate student in the then Jaffna campus, Sri Lanka.

“Asian Tribune” learnt that Abayaharan owns a banquet hall – Atlanta, located in the Ilesmore Road, in Scarborough and also a coffee shop.

Furthermore “Asian Tribune” also learnt that ‘Abi’ is the maternal uncle of ‘Gary’ Sakthi Anandasangaree – popularly known as “Mr. How Dare,” after challenging the former Prime Minister of Toronto Mr. Bob Rae, at the meeting organized by the New York based Human Rights Watch.

The meeting was held in connection with Human Rights Watch’s latest release “Children and Sri Lanka’s Armed Conflict”, at the Scarborough Civic Center in Toronto, Canada on the 12th of December 2004.

According to information, he is also another important personality in the World Tamil Movement. Both uncle and nephew were involved in real estate business in Toronto.

Interesting.. I couldn't find that article anywhere in Asian Tribune.. Would you mind providing the URL?

Also, even if it was posted in Asian Tribune, the connection is just an allegation by a 'Media' outlet that I don't trust at all. Recently they posted an article about something (don't want to mention what exactly it is because I don't want to reveal my id). Since I know the real story behind it, I saw through all their BS! Since then I don't believe ANY of the crap they write about. I'm not going to believe this either.

PS: did you guys know India 'bought' (long term lease) 'Trinco' (oil tanks) from SL for $75 Million USD? ..and that's not even GoSL's to 'sell' in the first place.. but then as a result they get some Indian soldiers guarding it..
