Hi Myna,I contacted the Author of the New book, Mr. Mahenthiran, and asked him about this Jaffna Royal Family Claim. This was his reply: "Ravi Seen. This is not imposible. Whoever is making this claim can establish
the truth by tracing his ancestors to the last king of Jaffna. This may not
be that important in the present context. Mak" He also said, that the Portugeese took Sangilian and his whole family to Gowa, hanged King Sangilian and converted the rest of the Sangilian family to Christianity. What a fascinating story, if their claim is true. Best Regards, RaviS |

Last king Sanglian of Jaffna was not hanged, he was killed at war between Portugesse Merchants. The war was happened at Present place of Perumal kovil(Temple), Jaffna. Bloody Portugesse destroyed many Hindu Temples in Jaffna and Mannar. Most of Jaffna Tamils did not change their faith. I can write more, but I do not have time at moment |
