[ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka] Jan 23, Colombo: A special police unit of the Kandy police searched several houses in Gampola, Nuwara Eliya and Colombo following a tip off that Lohan and Chanuka, two sons of former deputy defence minister General Anuruddha Ratwatte, were hiding there. But they drew a blank. Police are looking for these two men for questioning over the killings of ten Muslims in Udatalawinna, Kandy, on election day. Sources said police had already questioned Brigadier Keerthi Hulangamuwa, coordinating secretary for General Ratwatte, for nine hours and recorded his statement. He had said he requested a special Army unit for the security of General Ratwatte. Police are likely to question another top politician soon.
