I just happen to visit this forum for what I thought would be a decent discussion on peace. Instead I have been taken aback by the blatant form of Tamil bashing indulged by this so called zealots, pretenders or rather "saviors of mother lanka". I say now if they are so passionate about opposing the Tamil peole's right to be free from the Tyranny which they propose - then they must be willing to leave their arm chairs take a flight directly back to Jaffna, and also be willing to pack their wife, kith kin Mama, Mamandi, Bana and the whole lot to fight for their so called unitary salvation. I dare say none of these scroundrels would do NONE. We only have to see the way their tribe takes to the heels when asked to stand up and fight. All this idotic pride is due to ignorance and inbuilt prejudice against minorites. I hope these rascals would take their archaic solutions ( which always have some form of Tamil and minority bashing) and go to hell with it. It is time the Tamils and other races start taking control of their destiny and for ever be free from the stupid SSinhala mill stone round their neck. |

righhhhttt ./.. like sinhala bashing doesnt happen by all these bloody LTTE supporter refugees in Canada and UK who post in here ... why dont they go to bloody jaffna as well and take up a gun and a cyanide pill as well to stand up for their tribe? The original post reminds me of a cry session. Whoever wrote it obviously hasn't been hanging around this newgroup too much. Most of the racists in here are LTTE supporters who vilify everthing Sinhalese including the religion they follow - Buddhism. There is no use shedding crocodile tears when the real perpetrators of racism in here are Tamils who support the LTTE. Most of the Sinhalese in here (including me) are not against Tamils and I am by no means a racist. However, I am deadset against the LTTE and if you believe being anti-LTTE is being anti-tamil, then, that is your belief. But I do not believe it is possible to associate a whole people with such a bloody, ruthless organisation such as the LTTE. |

being dead set against the LTTE means that by implication you guys are all aginst the Tamils. Lets not kid ourselves, Tamils make up the LTTE, the LTTE did not fall from the sky. The assertion of being aginst "Tamils who support the LTTE" is also another word for Sinhala prejudice towrds Tamils - SINCE IF THERE IS A TRULY FREE, DEMOCRATIC INTERNATIONALLY SUPERVISED REFERENDUM TO ASSERTAIN AS TO WHERE THE TAMIL PEOPLE'S LOYALTIES ARE - NINE TIMES OUT OF TEN IT WILL BE WITH THE REBELS AND NOT THE SINHALA DOMINATED STATE. this is the bootomline reality - therefore opposition to Tamils who support LTTE is equal to opposition to all Tamils. There is no difference except in semantic degrees. And that my dear Sinhala puthrayas is hoodwinking again. |

Devils advocate,As I said before, if you think being anti-LTTE is being anti-Tamil, then that is your belief and you are free to believe it. Just don't forget, the USA, India, Malaysia and Sri Lanka banned the LTTE and called them TERRORISTS. If we follow your thinking that means these countries called Tamils TERRORISTS and BANNED them huh?? Sorry to say this, but your argument isn't worth debating. |

"Devils Advocate",Lets get one thing straight right away. The Tamil race is NOT the LTTE even though the LTTE's members are Tamils. The LTTE is a sub-set of the Tamil Race just as your so called "sinlala zealots" are a subset of the Sinhala race or murderers are a part of the Human race. Now try to understand this relation.
LTTE->Tamil race
Sinhala zealots->Sinhala race
Murderers->Human race In my view all the records on the left column are hindrences and should be dispersed with. But what about the right column? According to you if I say murderers must be suppressed it means the human race must be suppressed. You've brought up a pretty stupid argument I must say.
