Couple of months ago I was chatting to a friend from a top 10 accountancy firm in UK. We were talking about the genocide of Tamils in Sri Lanka and coincidently he was the auditor of a charity run by Tamils in UK to help the new arrivals in UK to settle down in society. He mentioned that there are a number of Sinhalees looked after by this charity who claim asylum in Uk. Most of them arive in UK from Middle East.

This is the pattern. These Sinhalees girls try and make this trip to UK through agents operating in Dubai. The money they earned from Arabs is enough to buy them a visa and ticket. Once they arive here they claim asylum, some of them pretend that they are Tamils and use falls names. They use the welfare system to settle down but soon they become bored and turn into prostitution.

Their main clients are Sinhalees living in Uk and Somalis. These prostitues mainly operate in Wembley, Neasden and Cricklewood. There is a large Somali refugee community in these area.

I'll give you some examples;

There is a sinhala shop in Cricklewood. The propritor was from Kollupitiya and often go to Colombo for holidays. This guy recently managed to get his brother and and his wife to Uk through agents. They started working in his business, soon the wife will be on her own business.

Go to the petrol station in Belmont Circle, Stanmore. The Sinhalees guys working in that petrol station will give you the address of some of the joints.

Go to Watford Road near Sudbury Town. Couple of years ago young family bought a house there. Now go and take a note of how many cars arive and leave in a night. The wife is such a nice person and very hardworking. Husband as usuall...

There is another catogary and this is the interesting one. These are 'well off' people from colombo. They come here on a 6 months holiday go on the game and get back to Colombo with a bigger bank balance.

If you are thinking of coming as part of our weight loss program, the atmosphere will be very conducive. In the event you contract some sickness, we hope you would have packed a first aid kit, as you will not find proper medical treatment throughout the island. When carrying your first aid kit, be sure to keep it well hidden, as people have been known to kill to get the precious medicines.

When travelling in Sri Lanka, the best policy is, "Don't Touch." If one fails to heed this common slogan, one will be faced with the possibilty of contracting one of the many deadly diseases so common on our soil. Sri Lanka is one of the fastest spreading grounds for such diseases as Aids, Hepatitus, Malaria, etc. This is partly due to the high rate of child prostitution around our touriste centers and due to the many pedophilia rings operating within our country. Sri Lanka has an estimated 50,000 children working in pedophilia rings, one of the highest rates in the world.

Another disturbance faced by many touristes is the tremendous amount of crime present within Sri Lanka. This is mostly due to the huge numbers of desserters from the military. With no opportunity to earn an income, these ex-soldiers make use of their military training to take to crime and violence. When confronting such persons one should give them what ever they ask for, as they are quite rutheless and have been known to kill people for only a few rupees.

Taking all this into consideration, I would humbly suggest one reconsider his trip to the island of Sri Lanka at the present time. Perhaps a trip to the Southern tip of India will be more what your looking for. There the climate is the same, but the dangers are not present. Regardless of your decision, keep in mind these few warnings when you decide your next vacaton.
