I have looked through this forum and found many educated answers and also many racial remarks. There is a 50-50 split in the opinions of people in the issue of Peace in Srilanka. Myself is a 19 year old srilankan TAMIL boy who has been living in Canada for the past 10 years. I have heard and seen many of the ordeals which the srilankans have gone through the past 16 years of civil war.

It is very hard for me to understand why Tamils and Singhalese are not able to co-exist together. Here in Canada Singhalese and Tamil get along well together...More than Half my friends are Singhalese and they are all very nice people. I have also many tamil friends and both the Singhalese and Tamil friends get along together. I just can't see why this can't be happening in Srilanka.

Message to all younger Generations:

We are the future like everyone says...

Many of the older Srilankans can not change their views on this enthic problem because they have live with the hate for Tamil and hate for Singhalese all their lives. We, the younger generation, should look in to the problem more carefully and keep an open mind. We can make a difference. Together we can stop this blood shed and bring the Paradise of Srilanka back to this world. WE HAVE TO SHOW WHAT WE CAN OFFER TO THE WORLD...AS SRILANKANS.

Hi Anthony,
We are living together as always in all major cities in Sri Lanka (in case no one told you that). It is only those Tamils supporting LTTE, mainly come from north hate Sinhala race.

Do not worry, soon the old thinking will change. In this war there are no positive results and human cost is very high, both parties are losers.
