Thank you very much. I'm going to post the results of the dinner along with what pictures I can get.
If more people have suggestions for winning meal combinations, please continue to post. I'm sure there are more people than just I who would like to present a respectable Sri Lankan repast.
Until then...
Andrew

Hello everyone. My name is Andrew and I am hoping to cook up a meal to win the heart of a very special Sri Lankan beauty here in Ottawa Canada. I actually doubt that this will win her heart all on it's own, but I think it is a good way to take a couple of steps down that road.
Now, I love to cook and have been known on rare occaision to occupy the kitchen for almost 16 hours straight.
Now I would like to throw together a meal for the two of us and some friends.
I have looked over the recipies and my mouth is watering, but I have absolutely no idea where to start.
What would be a few good recipies to use? I think I would like to have a few simple dishes and one 'WOW' dish that will really blow her away.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
(The only really big catch is that the person who introduced us, and will be coming to the dinner has a strong aversion to anything that comes from the sea, so I need to keep a dish or two sea food free.)
With sincere gratitude,
AndrewXiong
