1 lb thin sliced beef about 8 inches all around.
makes it as thin as possible
salt to taste
pepper
soysauce
tomato sauce
oregano
basil
garlic powder
mix all the above together and set aside.

Filling:
1/2 lb potatoes
1/2 lb carrots
1/2 a tomato sliced
3 green chillies diced
1 large onion minced
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp of saffron
1/4 tsp chillie powder
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp soy sauce
curry leaves
mint leaves

Boil potatoes and carrots. Mash them and keep aside. Chop tomatoes green chillies and onion. Mix the mashed potatoes, carrots and the rest of the ingredients together. Fry them in butter or oil. Leave aside.

Take sliced beef. Sprinkle salt and pepper with a little soy sauce on the sliced beef. Add 2 tblspoon of the fried mixture in the middle of the sliced beef. Roll it up. Coat it with egg white or flour. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Lay the rolled up beef on a cookie sheet and put in oven to bake until cooked. Approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Serve with pasta or steamed rice. Recipe by Iona de Silva
