Sri Lanka, known as the "Emerald Isle" and the
"Pearl of the Indian Ocean", for the luxuriance and diversity
of its fauna and flora, is blessed with a superb blend of ideal climatic
conditions, with a constant pattern of warm temperatures and seasonal rains,
together with a very fertile soil, enabling us to produce a wide variety
of tropical and sub-tropical vegetables within this small island around
the year.
From the many produced, we export more than fifty varieties
of vegetables around the globe, few of which are displayed above.
Besides the nutritive value and rich taste, their long
shell-life have made Sri Lankan vegetables much relished by customers the
world-over.
Except Tapioca , Kiriala and Fresh Coconuts all vegetables
are exported by Air in attractively printed Corrugated fiber-board boxes
or in baskets, usually in 5-10 kilogram packing. Tapioca, Kiriala and Fresh
Coconuts are exported by Air as well as by Sea.
