Besides Pine Apples, and our seasonal delights, we export
many varieties of fruit of which very few are displayed above. In Sri Lanka,
there are over twenty varieties of Bananas and over twenty varieties of
Mangoes grown successfully. With the commencement of our own fruit orchards,
we hope to increase our fruit exports considerably.
Drinking Coconuts, popularly known as Young Coconuts and
King Coconuts, are another of nature’s wonders that have satisfied the
palates of Millions. It’s sweetness and therapeutic qualities add value
to its glamour.
Sri Lanka produces the finest and the tastiest Papaya
on earth. As its grown in ideal climatic conditions, its flavour cannot
be matched with any other available in the markets the world over.
The ripe Jak (Waraka) is another fruit Sri Lanka could
boast about, due its mild fragrance and the luscious flavour.
