LTTE BLASTS CIVILIAN SHIP (99 Jul 28)
The Sea Tigers blasted a passenger ship anchored off the Thirukunamalaya harbour in the early hours of Saturday the twenty fourth killing a member of the crew and injuring several others according to "The Island". The member of the crew who died in the explosion has been identified as 54 year old Arulsayagam.
The chief engineer of the ship and few others are reported to be injured. The ship - Naco Anduran - with a three hundred passenger capacity belonging to a private firm had been hired to transport mainly civilians between Thirikunamalaya and Muththur according to "The Island".
This incident shows that the LTTE has only a political agenda for themselves and have no regard for the ordinary Tamils. Though they claim to be the sole representative of the Tamils they represent only their murderous gang led by Prabhakaran.
