NO AIR TRAFFIC TO YAPANAYA (98 Nov 11)
The government has decided to continue with the ban on air traffic between Kolomba and Yapanaya. This decision has been taken on the advise of the ministry of defence and the intelligence services.
The intelligence information has revealed that the LTTE is planning to hijack a passenger plane. The Yapanaya people are deprived of their food, freedom to travel, the education of their children etc., by the inhuman activities of the LTTE.
However the irony is that the other Tamil racist political parties blame the government and the security forces for any shortcomings. When some of these racist parties met the President Ms. Chandrika Kumaratunga, on the sixth of November the air traffic issue has been raised. Then the President had asked Mr. Suresh Premachandran of the EPRLF, whether he could charter a flight to Yapanya.
The other Tamil racist parties do not have the courage to ask Prabhakaran to stop that 'war'.Instead they continue to blame the government for the misdeeds of Prabhakaran and the LTTE. What the Tamils have to realise is that it is their armed leaders and the so-called moderate leaders who deprive them of their necessities.
