The army in the meantime has gained at least four kilometers north of Mankulama on the Vavuniyava- Yapanaya Main Supply Route(MSR). The army which had been at positions three kilometers south of Mankulama was able to enter and pass Mankulama during the Kilinochchi debacle. The LTTE is silent on losing Mankulama which is a setback for them.
