President Mahinda Rajapaksa called upon all people who loved Sri Lanka to join hands with him at the final public rally held in Kesbewa yesterday.

“I call upon all patriots to join us. I call upon the orphaned United National Party (UNP) to join us. Don’t be orphaned. Come and join us. It’s not yet too late. This country is yours. This land belongs to our future generations; our youth. We will rebuild the country. I call upon all to join hands with us. Join with us on January 26; let’s create a bright future,” President Rajapaksa urged.

He said, “We don’t need a political culture of hatred and wrath. We need a culture that sows love and kindness. We always believed in such a political culture”
