New Indian High Commissioner for Sri Lanka pays a courtesy call to President Rajapaksa

Newly appointed High Commissioner of the Republic of India, Mr. Ashok K.Kantha paid a courtesy call to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees this afternoon on 02nd December.

Recently he presented his credentials with four other envoys to the President of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa at a ceremony at President’s Office on 23rd November.

The other envoys who presented their credentials with Mr Kantha were Mr. Yaqoub Yousef Ateegi, Ambassador of Kuwait, Mr. Bruce Levy, High Commissioner of Canada and Mr. Jens Uwe Plotner, Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany.

Secretary to the president Mr.Lalith Weeratunga was present at the occasion.
