Tamils live harmoniously in Sri Lanka

I COMMED Wilson Tuckey for his forthright views and alerting Australia to the terror threat from the boat people.

Look at what the Sri Lankan Tamil asylum seekers have done. They sabotage their vessel, call the Australian Maritime Security to come and rescue them while still in Indonesian waters. Once safely anchored, they issue threats of hunger strike, blowing up the vessel and offer deals to the Australian government to get them accepted.

Obviously, they are in constant touch with their Network in Australia who gauge the public mood and advise them accordingly to change their tact.

As an Australian of Sri Lankan decent I know how two million Tamils in Sri Lanka live harmoniously with other races. Tamils in Sri Lanka serve as professionals, academics, judges, mayors and government ministers and also control the business sector in Colombo.

The only Tamils who fear going back to Sri Lanka are those connected with the defeated Tamil Tigers.

Sri Lankans no longer live with a fear of suicide bombings and terrorist attacks.

The civil war in Sri Lanka is over but this is under played by the interested groups to create an opportunity for bogus refugees to the West.
