Mr. P.M. Amza assumes duties at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Brussels

Ambassador Designate to the Kingdom of Belgium, Mr. P.M. Amza assumed duties at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Brussels today, (Wednesday, 8th August 2012). The assumption of duties was marked by a formal event held at the Embassy including the participation of religious dignitaries from Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and Islam faiths. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador to Belgium, he has served in different capacities in the Sri Lanka Foreign Service, including the Deputy High Commissioner in Chennai & London, the Deputy Head of Mission in the Sri Lanka Embassy in Berlin. Mr. Amza has also served as the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of External Affairs. He will be concurrently accredited to the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg and to the European Union.
