‘Vaccines do not save lives: Vaccinations save lives’

Jul 21 (Island) Please allow me to start with a bombshell. Long years ago, as a very young Medical Student, I absolutely hated paediatrics. Of course, it was not a matter of hating children; I loved and adored them, including a whole lot of my nephews and nieces. What I hated was just the subject of Paediatrics which dealt with caring for sick children. I was most definitely convinced that it was the very last thing that I would want to choose as a professional career. more..

Is Test cricket having its Pakball moment?

Jul 21 (CI) Don't say it. It's not a fair comparison. We don't even know if Pakistan properly like it yet. There's been a directive from the top to embrace a new style of batting, and it's easy to wonder if this thing is just like a knockoff version of that other thing. You know what that is. If you've followed cricket over the last few months, you have to know. You won't have had any choice but to have to know. The thing that's happening in England right now. Not the 143-year-old thing. The buzzword. more..

A time when miles-long queues of cars formed outside fuel stations. A time when people rushed hither and thither in search of alternatives to LP gas as the item was not available. We were in the midst of 12-hour rolling power cuts, industrial closures, loss of employment, NO CASH to feed our kids, leave alone finding finances to continue more..
