150 children test COVID-19 positive at LRH

Feb 4 (CT) At least 150 children and 100 parents who had accompanied their children to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) have been diagnosed with COVID-19 during a period of 11 months. Director of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children, Dr. Wijesuriya said that from March 2020 till early February 2021 at least one of the two parents who had brought their child to the LRH had tested COVID-19 positive. Feb 4 (CT) Two unidentified persons entered a house occupied by an elderly woman and had chopped off one of her fingers to rob a gold ring she was wearing, Balangoda Police said.
