67 COVID-19 deaths confirmed

Aug 2 (FT) Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 fatalities rose to 4,508 with 67 deaths confirmed on Saturday. A majority of the deaths confirmed on Saturday were over age 60, with 56 deaths in this age category, 10 deaths in the 30 to 59 age category, and one death in the below 30 age category. 74.83% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are above 60 years, 23.94% are between ages 30 and 59, and 1.24% are below 30 years. 2,625 fatalities are male and 1,883 fatalities are female. more..

4,500 COVID-19 patients detected over the weekend

Aug 2 (FT) Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 detections rose to 311,349 with over 4,500 persons testing positive for COVID-19 over the weekend.
