Mihindu Mapa

Brought up in Colombo, Mihindu Mapa grew up in a very musically oriented family and developed an early interest in music as a youth. Later on whilst studying at Nalanda College, he attained the opportunity to participate in numerous illustrious Sri Lanka stage dramas as a vocalist and studied under notable music teacher B Victor Perera. Debuting in the year 2000 alongside recognized Melbourne performer Sripali Edirisinghe, he released his first single "Obata Himi Nethi" which featured world-wide through TV Lanka television.

Through further encouragement from prominent lyricist Jagath J Edirisinghe, Mihindu Mapa made his first appearance as a solo artist in the year 2004 through the release of his first album "Kinduru Kodewwe" featuring 18 tracks directed by various famed music directors such as Rohana Weerasinghe, H.M Jayawardhana, Rohana Dharmakeethi and Navaratne Gamage. Currently, Mihindu is continuing to enjoy his love for music.
